About the Role
DataAnnotation is seeking experienced cybersecurity professionals to help advance the development of AI systems. While AI increasingly powers modern security platforms, human expertise is essential to validate outputs and ensure they hold up in real‑world scenarios.
As part of our team, you’ll work directly with cutting‑edge AI models, evaluating security content, solving technical problems, and providing feedback that shapes how these systems reason about threats and defenses. Some contributors balance this work alongside full‑time roles, while others treat it as their primary focus.
Key Responsibilities
Review AI‑generated cybersecurity content (threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, security techniques).
Design and solve technical problems to train AI systems.
Write clear technical explanations and security‑related code.
Provide feedback to improve AI reasoning on real‑world threats.
Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of hands‑on cybersecurity experience (penetration testing, red teaming, incident response, DFIR, malware analysis, threat intelligence, or related fields).
Coding experience with ability to navigate and patch codebases.
Strong English communication and writing skills.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; certifications (OSCP, CRTO, GREM, GCFA, CEH, etc.) are a plus.
Benefits
Remote work: Anywhere in eligible countries.
Flexible schedule: Choose projects and working hours.
Competitive pay: $50–$100+ per hour, with performance bonuses.
Impact: Directly influence the next generation of AI security models.
DataAnnotation is a technology company specialising in high-quality training data and annotation services for artificial intelligence and machine learning systems. By connecting domain experts with AI development teams, DataAnnotation helps organisations across industries build more accurate, reliable, and responsible AI models through precise, expert-reviewed data labelling.
Security and IT roles demand precision, documentation discipline, and a risk-first mindset. Hiring managers look for candidates who can communicate threats in business terms, not just technical ones — and who stay ahead of threat vectors without needing to be told.
Full-time roles typically include benefits (health insurance, pension contributions, paid leave). During salary negotiation, always consider the total compensation package — benefits can be worth 20–30% on top of base salary. Ask specifically about probation period, performance review cadence, and remote/hybrid flexibility before signing.
Hybrid roles blend office and remote days — but the split varies widely. Always clarify the exact office days required and whether they are fixed or flexible. Ask how the team handles meeting scheduling for in-office vs. remote days, and whether the role will evolve toward more or fewer office days over time.
